摘要：The tomb of the prefect of Wu Prefecture of the Liang Dynasty in theSouthern Dy- nasties Period excavated at Lingshan Hill in 2008 is one of the large-sized tombs of the Southern Dynasties with both clear date and rank. According tothe remaining contents of the epigraph, we can infer that the tomb occupant mightbe a member of the Xiao Family, i.e. the imperial family of the Southern LiangDynasty. A survey of the architectural structure and grave goods of this tomb willoffer an important landmark for the study of the changes in the burial system ofthe Southern Dynasties and for the perfec- tion of the chronological study of thetombs of the Southern Dynasties centered by the capital of Jiankang City. Thedrainage system of the tomb was built in a Ф-shaped plan, which has appeared onlyin the imperial mausoleums of the Southern Qi Dynasty and was believed to be animportant characteristic of the imperial mausoleums of the Southern Dynasties. Thediscovery of this type of drainage system in this tomb shows that such advanceddrainage structure should be understood simply as a sign for developments in thereasonability and practicability of burial designing and building, which could havebeen a rather popular practice.
